good night, and good luck [20 Mar 2008|04:30pm] I haven't posted in this thing for a while, and this is probably my last post (except for random youtube videos that nobody probably watches anyway). I have been admitted into the National Security Education Program's Chinese Language Flagship Program. Sounds fancy, right? Basically, I get paid to study Chinese for the next year and then have a 6 month internship after that. This will, of course, keep me in school for an extra year (which is kind of a bummer) but it's an amazing opportunity that I cannot pass up just because I want to get out of school. This also means that I won't be moving to Taipei this summer, this is a further disappointment, but again, it's very, very worth it. But that's just temporary, Taiwan will always be there. Anyway, I'll be leaving for Qingdao in May. This is on the Shandong Peninsula right across the Yellow Sea from North Korea and South Korea. I'll probably start a new blog in a month or two and ill be sure to post the address to that on here.
